2017

The 36th Go For The Gold Regatta was held June 3rd and 4th 2017 with 33 boats in 5 classes: Open Keel, RS Aero, Banshee, Laser, and Open Centerboard. Saturday started cool and overcast with light winds, but soon cleared with good winds. The conditions were so good that there was time for an extra race, making it a 5 race day. Sunday was also beautiful with comfortable temperatures and winds that increased to provide fantastic, and sometimes frantic, sailing. Overall, the conditions, food, party, and awards were the best in recent memory.

The 33rd Go For The Gold Regatta was held June 7-8, 2014 with 44 boats in seven classes. Fantastic lake conditions on Saturday as the 2014 Go For The Gold had four races for each fleet with steady (for SFL) breeze at 8-10 mph over the dam. The temperature was near 90 degrees but the breeze kept things cool. Sunday started with the wind opposite its normal direction and light, then stopping for a while as it clocked around to "normal" finally filling in over the dam by 1:30. An hour later, we had whitecaps and were able to get in 7 races for the Lasers and Banshees. Lasers made up the largest fleet with 12 boats.

Saturday saw rain, then some blue sky and some wind - enough to get started at 11:45. Then enough wind to fit in two more races. The four starts included Open Keel, Catalina 22 Far West Region 10 Championship, Banshee, and Open Centerboard.
