Membership

Gold Country Yacht Club membership is open to all, with or without boats.

Many members maintain their own boats on Scotts Flat Lake, but the club has a fleet of sailing dinghies available to all members. If you don't know how to sail, we have certified instructors teaching organized classes as well as experienced members eager to share their love of sailing. Those with trailable boats organize trailer-cruises to other lakes and coastal destinations. GCYC is a community club in which each member is expected to contribute time to the successful operation of the club.

GCYC Membership Types

  • New Members $100 per calendar year (includes initiation fee)
    -Monthly newsletter, discounts, and participation in all Club activities
    -Includes the Primary Member, a significant other, and their non-adult children (under 17)

  • Membership Renewal $75 per calendar year
    ($10 late fee after April 1)

  • Youth Sailing $250 per year ($75 discount for students that are already members)
    -Family club membership including youth sailing lessons by certified instructors
